EMOTIONAL FREEDOM TECHNIQUE (EFT)

About EFT tapping

EFT: stands for Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT). It is also referred to as tapping or emotional accupressure.

SELF-CARE TOOL: Tapping is an empowering self-care tool combining Chinese acupressure and modern psychology. It's easy to learn and to integrate into daily life.

ENERGY SHIFT: Tapping combines focused words with tapping acupressure points on the face and body. As you tap into your body’s energy, you are sending signals to your amygdala, the part of the brain that controls your emotions and stress. As you tap on the endpoints of the meridians (the energy centers known from Chinese medicine) you experience instant shifts in energy, such as powerful stress relief.

STRESS RELIEF: Research on EFT has shown that it can significantly lower levels of Cortisol in the blood. Cortisol is also referred to as our stress hormone. And stress is the ultimate cause of everything that we suffer from, emotionally and physically.

LET GO: Tapping empowers you to calm your mind, going from fear to peace. And more, it allows to release old pain from the past and resolving patterns you are stuck with. This is why EFT is being used to treat people with anxiety and PTSD (postraumatic stress syndrome).

REWIRE FOR HAPPINESS: Learning tapping in the right way gives you an absolutely game-changing way of rewiring your brain for happiness and wellbeing. All we ever suffer from are our very own thoughts. Shift them to a place of joy!

The EFT tapping points

In EFT we tap the endpoints or the meridians known as the energy pathways from Chinese medicine.

We begin tapping the the Karate chop point (KC) on the side of the hand while reciting a setup phrase. Then, we tap each of the following points several times, moving down the body:

• EB eyebrow
• SE side of eye
• UE under the eye
• UN under the nose
• UM under the mouth
• CB collarbone
• UA under the arm
• TH top of the head

You tap through the points using index and middle finger, and you can tap with one or both hands. The KC you can tap with either hand and fingers.
